Now I am presenting for you an interesting post about a very recent great man of India. He is Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He was the 11th President of India. Read the valuable features about his life and career and you will be ashamed and astonished.

APJ (= Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen) Abdul Kalam was the11th President of India. He reigned from July 2002 to July 2007 (5 years).


  • He was basically a Tamil people in India. He hailed from Rameswaram, Tamilnadu, India.
  • He had come out from a poor and ordinary family background.
  • He studied Physics and Aerospace Engineering.
  • He was engaged in science, space research, missile.
  • He was associated with DRDO, ISRO, etc.
  • He suddenly died on 27 July 2015, at the age of 83, at Shillong, Meghalaya, India, due to cardiac arrest, while attending a function at IIM, Shillong.
  • He was very simple man, a vegetarian (though Muslim by generation).
  • His father was also a very simple religiously-oriented man.
  • Though a Muslim, yet he was religiously open-minded.
  • He was the youngest of the five brothers & sisters.
  • He was unmarried (only among the brothers & sisters).
  • He used to get up around 6 am 9early morning) and sleep at 2am (late night).
  • He is honourly named as ‘The missile man of India’, also as ‘The People’s President’.
  • He was a career scientist, but later on turned into a statesman (President of India).
  • He was really a genius of India.
